Okay, so I am finally posting about the infertility appt that I had with my RE on August 19th. A lot has been going on and with me being a teacher I've been insanely busy with teacher inservice, preparing for school, and now completing my first week of school!
Well my appt revealed that my RE believes I either have PCOS or ovulation dysfunction. During the transvaginal ultrasound he noticed that I had way too many eggs waiting their turn (about 30). He complimented me on my perfect, beautiful uterus lol. That was a tad awkward, but a relief. He set up for A LOT of blood work (15 viles!) to be done (which I completed ASAP even though I had to fast for it ALL day while teaching and was extremely hangry lol) This Tuesday, DH and I will be going to Houston to get my HSG test done and then the appt I am most excited for is September 9th where we discuss all of the results and hopefully begin treatment!!! My RE says he does a combination of injections and oral medication to have the best chances of getting pregnant in the quickest amount of time.
If you have any advice or would like to share your experiences please do! Thank you all for your support in this. You are all a blessing from God and are the reason that I bypassed my OBGYN and went straight to my RE. I am so thankful and I pray for each of you every day.

Best of luck to you as you continue!

Started TTC 8/2012
8/12-8/13 - TTC Naturally
8/2013 - PCOS/anovulation diagnosis
8/2013 - Metformin + Clomid, no reaction (Not insulin resistant, but tried Metformin to see if it would make a difference.)
Best wishes for you as well! What grade and subject do you teach? I'm so glad someone understands how difficult it is as a teacher to do all of this in the school year. It's such a struggle to have to take these days off when school has just started and have to set up sub plans. I try so hard to get everything set up after school, but sometimes it is just unavoidable! Family comes first so it's all definitely worth it though.
Please keep me posted about how everything goes. I would love to keep up with you and what your RE decides to do. DH and I are very excited and anxious to get all of this started.
@williegsocks I teach Kindergarten! I had to leave them on Friday morning to go in for an ultrasound... I was a nervous wreck, but they did very well! Sometimes I think that I am crazy for trying to start this at the beginning of the school year, but you are so right about family coming first. Everything at school will be there when I get back, and I just have to let go of some of that control! Please keep me updated on what they decide for you!

@rachelkeller and @MooByrd I am so glad that I have fellow teachers going through all of this too! I've taught 2nd grade for the past 3 years and this is my first year to teach 4th grade Reading and Writing. So far I LOVE it!!! They are so much more independent and very well behaved which makes it much easier to leave them with a sub then if I still had my little 2nd grade babies. So I completely understand the stress of leaving precious kindergartners! Today, I had my HSG test and my tubes are completely open which was such a relief! It was also a relief that it was not as painful as I expected and it was very quick. Now, I just wait for my appt on the 8th to discuss the results from my blood work and hopefully start treatment asap.
Best of luck to both of you! Please keep me posted on where ya'll are at in your journey's for your miracles!
