A doctor question

I think it's possible that I have a UTI. Can I call my OBGYN instead of my primary doctor (since it's probably just a urine test)...? My OB's office is right by DD's school, it's usually easy to get an appointment, and the wait times are short. My primary doc is the complete opposite.

Re: A doctor question

  • I always call my ob/gyn for UTIs. They deal with them a lot.

  • Do have an option of doing a virtual clinic?  My health plan covers it for that kind of stuff and it's so nice not to have to go in.

I've done virtualwell.com a couple times.  They have you list your symptoms and then if it's something common, they tell you the that they'll have a nurse practitioner contact you within like two hours.  It's great for when you pretty much know what's wrong and just need a prescription.
