Update on Dh's dr's appointment

First, thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.  The appointment wasn't what we had hoped for really.  They confirmed that he had broken his nose (think where your glasses sit), but that's not a big deal, it will heal and there is no need to do anything for that.  However, he also broke the piece in his nose that separates the two nostrils.  They will need to go in and do surgery, removing most of that.  He will be off work for a week to do that.  The dr said there is no hurry on, he doesn't anticipate Dh will get any worse, but recommends that it gets done since Dh can't breath at all through one nostril and is having sinus issues because of it.  I'm pushing Dh to get a second opinion, just in case.  DH really doesn't want to get the surgery done at all, so I'm really hoping he will come around on this.  He promised to think about it over the weekend.

    We did enjoy our time in the "big city" though since Dh wasn't hurting at all.  We went out to eat, went shopping, a museum, even hit the book store and got the 4th Twilight book.  I've been feeling very cooped up in my little town, so it was a good outing.

    Oh that sucks!  I will say that my DH had this done about 3 months ago.  He had a septo rhinoplasty (I think).  He got hit w/ a baseball when he was like 15 and has always had breathing issues, but just ignored it.  Finally I nudged him to get a consult and he did it.  He is SOOO glad he got it done and doesn't regret it one bit. 

    I would highly recommend doing it!

    So sorry to hear that your DH broke his nose!! Hopefully you'll get the news you want and he'll feel better soon!

    Ugh ... sorry it wasn't the good news you were expecting.  Sending you some take care of yourself dust to sprinkle on YH so he chooses correctly and you don't have to worry about him!
