DVT at 29 weeks/ Lovenox questions

Hi ladies, I posted this on the high risk board but got no response. Just wondering if anyone has been through this. So I was diagnosed with a DVT in my left femur. Pretty scary, and painful! Luckily it hasn't hurt the baby and shouldn't. I spent 3 days in the hospital. So I'm on 70 mg of Lovenox twice daily. I will continue it until closer to delivery when they'll switch me to heparin ( I was told no epidurals allowed while taking Lovenox!) they said I will probably be induced around 39 weeks. I wasn't nervous about the delivery until now. But this new complication freaks me out. I still have a lot of pain and swelling on my left leg. I can hardly walk. Apparently the Lovenox is slow acting. I'm just wondering when I will start to feel better. I know many of people out there are on Lovenox. How has that affected your delivery plans? Thanks :)

Me:38 - TTC for 3+years - Multiple failed IUIs (w/clomid, femara,injectibles - all BFNs) IVF #1 - Jan 2012, CP -IVF#2 March 2012, CP - Went back to IUIs all summer. Multi-Cycle Egg banking for FET. Egg retrieval #1 October, 2 frosties. Retrieval#2 January 2013. 6 eggs banked - waiting to be fertilized in March, FET March! Zero eggs survived thaw process - FET Cancelled. New RE - Now banking Embryos for PGS - July ER- 3 eggs retrieved, 3 fertilized, 1 genetically normal embryo! FET - Feb. 2014, BFP - Mar. 2014, EDD 11/6/14 It's a GIRL!

    I'm on lovenox (and have been since transfer) but I'm on it for homozygous MTHFR c677t. I'm having twins so I will have a c/s unless both girls are head down. Same as you, they will switch to heparin closer to birth bc heparin can be reversed at the hospital where lovenox can't be. It also has a shorter half life than lovenox (out of your system faster than lovenox) I can't answer when your leg will feel better but I I hope you start to feel better soon!

    DOR (FSH 24.3)/ terrible egg quality ; homozygous MTHFR c677t
    5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
    OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN

    DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
    CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE
    DE IVF #3 1/14  ET 4BB; BFP;M/C 5w1d, incomplete m/c; MVA extraction in ER 7w1d

    DE FET#1 ET 3/1714; BFP, beta 1 3/27= 197, beta 2 3/31= 1586, beta 3 4/7= 13879!!
    First u/s= Twins with HBs at 6w2d! We are Team Pink x 2!!

    Thanks McIrish. It sounds like doctors are used to deliveries with these blood thinners. I was worried about what happens with a C section. But as long as I switch to heparin I think it's fine. I hope you and the twins are doing well. I've been rooting for you!

    Thanks KaraBear- I haven't been monitored by MFM because up until now, all has been normal. I think they said 36 weeks is when they'll switch me to Heparin. I go in next week for my regular OB and I'll be sure to ask them all my questions.
    Sorry to hear you had such a long labor. I am not afraid of a C-section - but one after laboring is my biggest nightmare.
    Your little guy looks adorable! I am glad all turned out fine for you!

    I was on lovenox since 14w, and I'm on it for 6 weeks postpartum (4 weeks left!).. No history of DVt, but I do have a clotting disorder. They switched me to heparin a few days before the c section. I have an appt with a hematologist next week and I'm hoping my bloodwork shows that my levels have gone back to normal. I hate these shots! Totally sympathize.

    4 IUIs with Clomid, Letrozole, and Menopur. All BFN.
    9/12: lap / hysteroscopy: found and removed mild endometriosis, cervical polyp, and 2 para-tubular cysts
