A New MOD Poll

A lot of people have validly suggested there be a new poll created. I don't want to step on toes, but I don't think Jalara (nor anyone else) was going to step up to the plate to make that happen. Since I don't think there is a rule over who gets to create a poll, I'm creating it.

* Ftr, the only view point of mine to be inferred by my creating this is that I like this board as a whole and I want to see fairness for all the participating bumpees (new and old) and @jalara48

I think I covered all reasonable possibilities in the poll options.

@jalara48‌ I hope you don't mind my doing this. If these polls are going to be done, they should be done fairly. And I don't think you are even being fair to yourself - understandably so.

Thanks for creating this poll! I think the missing options in the last one have given a false impression. We have more to lose than gain in my opinion.

What if I think this is all crap? And don't want to vote. I know we are all pretty good about not using out pregnancy hormones as an excuse to be rude. I think this has been blown way out of proportion! I think a lot of people have jumped on a ban wagon going no where but hurtville. We have been pretty content with the way things have been run for the last 7 to 8 months. Why change something that has been working? I think @jalara48 is getting a bunch of crap for a job that is not easy to handle. She does not get compensated for it in any way. So what is the point if tearing people down so close to having outside babies?

Well said, and much better than I've been trying to.

And with all of us being so lucky to be having our babies soon, it's extremely trivial.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. So I guess we need to decide if we all still want two mods or just pick a new person?

If you read through the posts on the other thread you'd see that we haven't all "been pretty content with the way things have been run" and this is an ongoing issue that has been brought up numerous times. It didn't just happen.

From the responses I have seen it looks like there are maybe 10 people out of the entire community who were not happy with how it was going. That is a small percentage.

Did you vote? After voting, the numerical results keep updating and show up. The votes show 42 people voted for either one or two new mods, and another 62 voted for a co-mod. Only 65 voted to keep things the same. In other words, 104 people voted for some kind of change.

I'm confused. Where are all these posts about people who are unhappy with how things are run? I mean, I'm not the most die-hard poster and no I don't read through all 200 posts on the random threads, but it seems that those who post on at least a semi-regular basis seem pretty happy. At this point I would only want a co-mod so that @jalara48‌ doesn't have to deal with stuff like this on her own.

@swizz09‌ at this point, that conversation is pretty much over. Jalara has resigned and left the board and now the order of business is nominating new mods so we can all move on and continue discussion on nurseries, stretch marks and whatever.
