I am getting kicked in the vagina repeatedly by LO for the last 2 days. Nothing constant but still very painful.
I don't have an OB appointment until next Friday.
Would you call the on call OB or just wait it out until next week. As this is a long weekend.

  • I wouldn't call the OB. I don't think there is much they can do about LO kicking you. However, I'd definitely try to see if you could get her to move. Try doing exercises on all fours several minutes a day.

Could you try to get her to change positions? Maybe do the pose that people try for the breech babies?

This!  It's worth a try.  You can call your doctor, but he/she probably won't do anything.  It's a positional issue.

When LO is in a position that's driving me nuts, I apply a small ice pack to the area, and that's usually enough to make him move.  Maybe try an ice pack in your lower back?  If nothing else, it feels nice!

  • I have had this problem for weeks. My OB laughs it off. Its what babies do. Find the most uncomfortable spot for mom and settle in.

  • Nope, I have been being kicked there for weeks and did with DS1 as well...what can an OB do about it anyways.  Its all a part of being pregnant, some get kicked in the ribs, vagina, bladder, and the lucky ones all 3 locations.

  • Thanks for the helpful info. I am good in the morning but as the day goes on. I get kicked in the vagina. I was also thinking it might start contractions and dilation. But if all you you have had it. Then there is no need to worry.

  • Nothing to suggest beyond what everyone else has, but if you do get LO to move post on what helped please!  My monster refuses to budge from his Frank Breech now regardless of all methods tried so I'm interested if one specific one works better than others.  I'll focus more on that one maybe... • Crotch lightning! So uncomfortable, but not a medical concern.
