Crib the first night?

Anyone put their LO in their own crib from the beginning? We are thinking of doing this with our 2nd since we werent so good about getting our firstborn in the crib and he ended up in our bed for too long. If you did use the crib right away, did you find yourself more anxious because LO wasnt in the room with you?

    We did with both kids. I wasn't anxious bit its literally across the hall and with both doors open a crack we didn't even need a monitor.

    we put LO in her crib by night 4 or 5, her room is only steps away from ours and it was easier to nurse her in the chair that was in her room than in my bed. we didn't have any issues. we did use a video monitor though because I'm a FTM and was a little anxious

    We didn't...and now I wish we would have. He was in our bedroom either sleeping in his bassinet or swing which both are elevated a bit. Now he is 6 wks and trying to get him into his crib has not been fun!!

    We did with both. Fewer transitions and I get to sleep without hearing every baby noise under the sun. Since we never slept with the baby in our room regularly so I can't compare anxiety but we had no problems and liked it enough to do again.

    I can't get my LO to sleep in his bassinet he just wnts to be held all night during the day LO has no issue sleeping in the bassinet, last nite we did co sleeping and he was fine but I don't wnt this to become habit, I really want him to sleep in the bassinet!!!

    LO was in her crib from day one!!!  We did have a snuggle nest that i would use if she couldn't get back to sleep or else i would use it in the early mornings and have her sleep with us but for the majority of the time she was in her crib.

    Both kids have been in their crib since night 1 and I'm so glad. DS is now 4 and to this loves his bed.
    It's a little exhausting in the beginning... Going back and forth to soothe, or pop a paci back in, but it definitely paid off for us.

    I like that hubby and I can have our "us" time and a kid free bed.

    DD was in her crib the first night home. However, we gave a futon set up in there,so I can sleep in there if need be. As it is right now, she starts in her crib for her first stretch and I start in my own room with DH. Once she wakes for her first feed, I sleep in her room for the rest of the night. Eventually, we end up bed sharing after the second wake up.

    We put him in the crib his first night. He was also 5 days old by the time we came home. Due to spacial issues, he's also in our room instead of a nursery. Which suits DH and I just fine. A couple of nights he'll only sleep in the bouncer, but for the most part, we've had no issues with the crib.
    Became Stepmomma to the world's best little boy, Marcus, on November 1, 2009!
    BFP On December 7, 2013! Due August 8, 2014!
    Reese made his arrival on August 13, 2014 after 42 hours of labor!


    BFP on April 2, 2015, estimated due date is December 6, 2015!
    Teryn made his arrival on December 6, 2015 after only 15 short hours of labor!

    We did this with both kids as well. No problems - we had the monitor going through the night and our door was more or less open.

    We put R. in the crib in his nursery from the first night. Our room is right next to his, and we can hear him when he wakes up for a feeding. It has worked out really well so far.

    My baby was in a bassinet in our room the first 4 weeks as we were staying with my parents. Once we went back home she was sleeping in her crib in her nursery from day 1, the nursery is right next to us and with both doors left ajar we can hear her clearly. Better sleep for everyone since my baby is super vocal in her sleep

    DD has been in crib since first night. I lts been good for all of us a we get a good nights sleep. I keep the monitor beside my pillow. I will def do the same when #2 comes along.

    He was in the RnP in our room for a couple weeks, then in the RnP in his room until like 4 months old. We tried to transition to the crib at 3 months old and it was really, really hard so we held off another month and it was easy peasy at 4 months old. My LO had reflux so the RnP was perfect for elevating his head. My plan for #2 will be the crib from day 1 for all sleeping.

    My SIL put all her kids in the crib from day one.
