Car accident (car seat Q)

Another car hit me in my way to work this week. Totally not my fault. It was a minor bump & scratch to my rear passenger door. My AAA insurance is handing it and is doing a great job. Got an estimate and it will be repaired next week.
Here's my question: am I suppose to get new car seats because of the accident? We have our 23 month old's Chicco Nextfit as well as our 6 month old's Chicco infant car seat. It was minor and they don't appear to be damaged at all. AAA said since my children weren't sitting in them during the accident, then they don't need to be replaced. I don't know about that.
Since the accident wasn't my fault, I won't have to pay for the repairs & my deductible is waved. If I had to get new car seats, I think the other driver's insurance would cover it.
What do you think?
