Does anyone else have issues with their BG's elastic getting too relaxed way too fast? I've only had mine a few months and some of them don't even get tight around his legs anymore. DS has skinny legs so maybe they just don't fit him right?
I've had my one BG 4.0 for over 2 years now with no problems. We don't put any shells in the dryer. Do you wait til they're cool before removing from the dryer?
Supposedly putting them in the dryer wears the elastic and PUL faster. But also, if you hang dry you are supposed to hang the long way (if that make sense) or it also wears the elastics out more quickly.

my 5 year old BG elementals are super filled with holes but they are all still very waterproof and the leg openings are still intact. i dry them on 75 minutes of high heat every single time i wash them. no elastic issues here! maybe BG changed its elastic supplier... who knows.
There is a local girl that makes money fixing people's elastic on their BGs. It's so frustrating because other than that, these are one if my favorites.
It seems like with bg the elastic is really variable. Some it wears out really quick and some lasts longer.
@MamaFantastic have the elementals really been around that long?!?
i bought my first batch of 6 when i was in early 2nd tri with kiddo... i think it was during a black friday sale in 2009. i acquired 6 more from a friend of mine who used them with her daughter (born in june of 2008) and i'm not sure when she bought them. kiddo was a tiny baby when she gave them to me. i don't think he was even 2 months old yet.
back then they were called "BG Organics", though!!
