When you move, is it your responsibility to call the billing companies and tell them you are no longer in charge of that bill (the electricity/sewer/trash pick up)
Yep, call and tell them you are moving and request the utilities be canceled on X date. New occupants will request utilities be turned on on Y date and pay hook up fees if applicable.
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!
Thanks guys. It is all so new to me to move. We already have the new bills put in our name because we have been using these 3 weeks to do some updates and casually move in.
But we know the guy that bought our house. I asked him about it and he said he would handle it. I do trust him, but I also feel like it is my responsibility to inform the companies to take our name off.
Re: When you move, and bills
You, to tell them you're moving. And the new owners to set up their own accounts
Good luck with your move!
