Question About Lankenau

This is my first pregnancy and I've decided to deliver at Lankenau since I've heard good things about it here. 

Will the baby be in the room with you overnight or do they take him away?  Is the baby with you or your husband most of the time?  Is food only available at meal times?

    My baby stayed in room with me every night. They definitely encourage baby being in-room with you as much as possible. I was getting zero sleep, so they did offer to take her for a couple hours overnight so I could sleep. But they brought her to me when she was ready to nurse. No one pushed it, I could have said no, but I did feel better.

    She was with us all the time, unless she was getting vitals checked by the pedi. I didn't ask about food, if I wanted something at a non-meal time, I just asked my H to get it

    when are you due?  I have also decided to deliver at lankenau.  I'm due December 23rd.  I cannot wait to meet our baby boy!

    It's really up to you how much the baby is in there with you. My oldest was with us the whole time, our youngest slept in the nursery most nights. They deliver food at meal times but there is a cafeteria, I am pretty sure it's open around the clock, if you need to send DH for snacks. There are also vending machines.
