So my LO is still not eating solid food of any kind. We started trying at her six month birthday and she showed no interest. We didn't push it too much, figured she just wasn't ready but continued to try periodically. As the months have gone on she has shown no improvement. When we try to feed her she seals her lips tight and if we do get some food in there she gags and spits it out. We've tried everything from chopped up finger foods to BLW to homemade purées. We play games, sing song, and have tried having other people feed her besides me. Nothing works! She is EBF and is gaining weight (although she is small, and dropped from the 50th percentile to the 25th on her last doc appointment. She looks healthy though and has a good amount of chub to her). Has anybody had any experience with a baby this old still not eating solid foods? I can't decide whether to relax and think she'll eat when she's ready or to be worried!
I am also having this issue. T is 10 months and barely eats anything. Also EBF, no bottles at all. He dropped percentile as well, but is gaining well. I have no advice, but you are not alone!
It's worth keeping an eye on but at 9mos ish I wouldn't be too worried, unless her weight continues to drop etc. Maybe start taking notes on what you're offering, its texture and if she takes it/spits it out/swallows it? Then you have some ammo to get a referral to EI at her 12 month if it's still going on.
Six years of infertility and loss, four IUIs, one IVF and one very awesome little boy born via med-free birth 10.24.13.
That's good to know about the gagging, my daughter has a really strong gag reflex too. She also would never take a bottle so it's all boob all the time! I think for now I won't push it too much, she will eat when she's ready! I appreciate all the feedback and support, I definitely feel less worried now!

LO has been doing great. He now eats purées and finger foods and drinks breast milk from bathroom cups.
