Cleaning question

So I've mentioned on here before that we have a condo that we rent out. Our old tenant left in a hurry to flee the goddamn country, and he left us with a bit of a mess in the kitchen that I'm having trouble cleaning. The tops of the cabinets and the ceiling are coated in a grimy, greasy film. Yes, it is gross. I tried the mr clean magic erasure and while it technically worked, it broke apart too quickly due to the stickiness and the texture of the ceiling. What cuts through grease really well??

Our new tenants move in on Saturday so I need to wrap this up tonight.
