conversating conversation.

So today at school a few girls and i had an interesting conversation. It was about how our society looks at love and defines it and how it has changed and how it has its own definition to each couple.

So im curious, how do you define romantic love?

For me loves different, love is a partnership where you support and build each other up.

How do you(did you) pick your partner?

I picked bf because hes the guy i want to get up with in the morning and face all bull shit with. He doesnt play games with my head, hes crazy
supportive if me. Plus hes my best friend and makes me laugh

    @Becwheat i totally agree with what your saying! Sex drives change bf didnt have one for a year so we didnt have sex. But in that year he was still an awesome partner. He made me laugh, he was with me when i cried. When i say bf is my best friend and my personal cheerleader im not lieing. Jes thre first one to tell me how awesome i did on a color or cut. Hes the first to push me to get to school every day hes the first to remind me how bad i want my degree.

    And even though we dont always agree on the small stuff we are together on the big stuff(religion, child care, personal ethics)

    I'm not really sure how to express what had drawn me to BF when I first met him.  He was the only person who, when we first locked eyes, I had told my friends that he was my future husband.  And, yes, at the time, I still believed I would never get married in my life.  I still feel butterflies in my stomach when we're around each other.  I'm not sure how to explain any of this.  But, him and I, we have this connection, this bond that we haven't felt with anyone else.  He's been there for me, he's always around whenever BD (or his mother) decides to show up so that it's easier on me.  He does things for us that I would never expect him to.  And I'm there for him.  We don't have sex often, which, to me, helps us build a more solid foundation of our relationship.  It's not about sex. I dunno.  I'm kind of sappy today.

    I think at the heart of it all, I feel like love is your safe place to land. It's the place that doesn't pass judgement but also doesn't let you become a total fuck up...but if you do, it doesn't spit in your face, it helps you put things right and move forward.
