seeking carseat

Any advice or opinions on car seats looking for one that connects to a stroller

Re: seeking carseat

  • I assume you are asking about an infant seat (rear facing only) and what is a good travel system?

    Is this your first baby?
What car(s) will the seat be going in?
Do you have a buget in mind for the car seat?

  • This is my third with my two boys I was given for my firsts baby shower a even flow car seat and currently but itexpires in decber and I m due in February. we drive an older Cadillac Seville right now but are hoping to get something bigger as we will soon have three car seats to fit into the car. And was hopong to spend no more then $200 yes an infant carrier only rear facing that has a stoller it can hook to. I don't know of 200 limit is crazy or do able thanks for any advice offered it is very appreciated!
  • Ok-take a look this article-

    https://csftl.org/recommended-seats/

I would highly recommend joining Car Seats for the Littles on Facebook. It's a great site that is moderated by child passanger safety technicians. They are incredibly helpful, especially if you are trying to fit three across.

Out of that list, I will say the Britax B safe is a bit wider at the handle so it can make puzzling with other seats difficult.

Under $200 for a carrier AND stroller is probably going to be tough. your best bet might be to get a snap n go for the carrier and then invest in a better stroller when you are done with the carrier.

(When you post on CSFTL include all the information about the car seat up: car, year, age/height/weight and current seat each son is using-it will help narrow down the best choices for you :) )

  • Thank you everyone I am joining the group now and looking at the snap andgo sstrollers
  • I think across many safety rating systems, Chicco Keyfit 30 rates the highest (this is the one we got, I thought it had the best padding compared to other models).  You'll see that Britax B-Safe is also rated similarly as well.
  • @Jeark1004‌ just so you are aware, there are no safety ratings for car seats. Car seats are crash tested by the NHTSA on a pass/fail system. If they are for sale, all car seats are safe when used correctly. The crash data is not released to the public, and even if you got your hands on it, you would need medical/physics/engineering degrees to understand any of it.

  • I also bought a graco travel system with my dd. I think I paid $120 for it. It worked fine. There are options out there under the $200 mark. I would suggest visiting Amazon
