I was 3.5 weeks late. Due March 6th, born the 30th. My mom was not too happy with me or the Dr. Her Dr went on vacation and his replacement was apparently a lazy ass who didn't actually want to do any work. Mom's dr was horrified when he got back. Scheduled an induction for the 31st, but labour started on it's own. I get to hear the story all. the damn. time...
I was 3 weeks late and my mom had an almost 24 hour labor. My sister was a few days early with a 4 hour labor. All I heard growing up was how I was the stubborn one from the start.
I was 5/6 weeks early and spent my early days in an incubator. My dad used to tell me those were the easiest days. He'd stop by and peck on the glass. My dad wasn't an ass, he just had a weird sense of humor, I swear.
I guess I was stubborn in other ways. I was breech lol. I was due December 14th, my moms water broke on the 7th so she headed straight to the hospital for a c-section. Thankfully, none of my babies have been breech. But I've never went into labor on my own either Fx 3rd time's a charm!

I was born 3 weeks early due to an incompetent OB. The guy apparently had issues with calculating due dates and thought that everyone was two weeks further along than they were (mid 70s before dating ultrasounds were used routinely). Add in his refusal to allow my Mom to try a VBAC and his belief that all C-Sections needed to occur before the due date equaled an early birth date for me. And that is with my Mom sitting at home for a week, refusing to go to the hospital (as she knew how far along she was and didn't want me born premature without medical reason).
The on call ped announced in the operating room that the OB must be getting better at calculating due dates as at least this time, he waited until 37 week before forcing the C Section. My mom corrected him, in the operating room. That OB didn't last much longer and left the area a year or two later.

I was born at 36 weeks via scheduled c/s, because my mom is diabetic and they were afraid I'd be huge. I only weighed 4lbs 7oz, and the OB was shocked as he delivered me.
I was two weeks late. If I have to hear my mother say "you just didn't want to come out!" one more time...
Anyone else heard their birth story 5,001 times since becoming pregnant? I can recite my birth story and DH's birth story (thanks to MIL) word for word. I'm annoyed with everything these days though. 8-|
I'm surprised at all the very late babies! I was a week early. But a friend had her first in the early 80s and was allowed to go three weeks past her due date...baby was 10.5 lbs! I can't imagine.
Two weeks early.
My mom went to work and everything that day, came home and went into labor. Doc thought I was going to be over 10 lbs. I came out 8 =D>
I was a week late and DH was 3 weeks early. It will be interesting to see when our LO decides to make his appearance. I'd prefer him to come a little early though... I was an 8lb baby. @-)
I was a month late. Due at the end of September, born Oct. 28. They didn't induce back in the dark ages (aka the '70s). I was 9 pounds, too. My poor mother!
Whoa, what? I honestly didn't know babies could be that late!
I was 2 days early and I came quick. According to my my she was only in labor for 3 hours. This freaks me out because my grandma was only in labor for 6 hours with my aunt so it sounds like quick deliveries run in my family (if such a thing is even remotely possible) and I have a 45 minute drive, traffic pending, to get to the hospital. It's over an hour from work. DH was a scheduled C-Section so I'm sure he was early or right on time. We were both around 7 lbs.
my mom claims my brother and i were both 3 weeks late. my dad's mom says he was 2-3 weeks late as well. when mom was pregnant w/ me, they ended up inducing her. i know i did not like my experience being induced (10 days after EDD) w/ DD... can't imagine how awful it was in 1974. i just figure it takes people in my family longer to 'cook' so i expect to go over with this little guy, too.
I was 10 days early and 6lbs 9oz. My brother before me came a month early but was a stlll-birth. All my grandma's children (8 of them) were a month early though!
Re: S/O Due Date Guesses. Clicky poll!
My mom loves reminding me that I was 2 weeks late, and then I was 17 hours of med-free back labor.
