So I think LO has an ear infection. Since it's late already I can't take him in yet tonight but I'm going to tomorrow. Does anyone know if it's ok to put the numbing ears drops in his ear just to get through the night? @babycaps ?
Could be teething but the reasons I think it's an ear infection is because he hasn't been eating/sleeping well the past couple days like an hour for 4oz and sleeping max 30mins at a time which is soooo unlike him. His temp was 100.4 a earlier so I gave him some Tylenol. when holding him or when he's laying down trying to fall asleep he continuously try to turn his head to the right almost like he is trying to rub it against something possibly because it hurts? My daycare mentioned that maybe it could be ear infection that's what made me realize maybe it could be. I feel like a FTM because DS1 showed NO signs of teething just eventually had all his teeth!
I am no help with the drops but I thought my daughter was teething til I noticed she cried when I changed her and wasnt sleeping well...yep...ear infection.
Poor baby, ear infections suck!! I'd just give Tylenol and call pedi first thing in the am. My LO just got over an ear infection. The first time I took him in for it they said it was just teething, 3 days later he was back and they said it was the beginning of an ear infection.
I'd do Tylenol but prob not ear drops (our LO is 5.5 months old). Emma has an ear infection right now too. She didn't have a fever though. Now she's on an antibiotic, probiotic, Tylenol in her nighttime bottle per the pedi and a cool most humidifier. Good luck!
