Morning sickness in the afternoon?

When I wake up in the morning I usually feel pretty good...after lunch I start to get really sleepy and by about 3:00 that's when I start to get nauseous. I try to have a snack between my last two class periods (teacher)....but maybe I'm even more hungry than that. Anyone else have backwards morning sickness? I know that not all morning sickness is in the morning, but this has been kinda clockwork the past week or so. And I know I'm not far along so I'm sure it's gonna get worse....

Re: Morning sickness in the afternoon?

  • With my last I only got nauseous in the evenings. It can happen anytime from just mornings, just nights, or all day! Hope you start feeling better!

  • I'm queasy if my tummy is empty. Saltines seem to do the trick for me.
  • The term morning sickness is definitely a misnomer.

With my first, my nausea started in the evenings, but the further along I got, went to an all day thing. With this one, it is afternoon/evening, but I'm just 5 weeks tomorrow, so who knows what will happen!

  • I've always had it all day and for my entire pregnancy, with it letting up a bit after 20 weeks and then hitting hard again after 30. It sucks.

  • Right now mine is worse in the evening. I've found eating something nearly every hour helps a lot. When I get hungry, I get queasy! And since I'm always hungry, I'm always queasy. It only feels like I might actually throw up at night though.
  • I've been getting nauseous any time my belly is empty. I've been keeping crackers and sucking candies with me at all times and I've managed to not puke at all thus far. The snacks keep the nausea sufficiently at bay.
