Early pregnancy cramping or PMS?

So off and on since Tuesday I have been having bouts of what feels like mild period cramps in the middle of my lower abdomen that last for a bit then disappears. No pulling sensation or pinching, just very similar to PMS. On Monday I had slight nausea that lasted 1 day.

AF is due on Monday (9/1/14).  I had my dd 1yr and 1/2 ago and I do not remember the pms like cramping being a symptom.  I did not expereince cramping til I was like 8 weeks along....however this is not a normal PMS symptom for me to have cramps before AF shows.  I think it has happened maybe 2x in the last year or so and would occur maybe 4 days before AF, not a whole week before.  The last time hubby and I had sex was right when I should have been ovulating (we aren't TTC at the moment, I just wasn't paying attention)

So ladies, did any of you have this type of cramping before you got a BFP?  Did it feel just like PMS?  I know its most likely stupid AF, but I am holding onto a bit of hope.  Thanks ladies!

    Wow, all I asked was if anyone experienced something similar...was not expecting such coldness.  I think I will start using a different forum.

    There are endless threads just like this. The answers are always the same- PMS and pregnancy symptoms can be identical, what one woman experienced has no bearing on your experience. The only way to know if you're pregnant is to take a test.

    You are overreacting.

    But yes, I did have period-like cramping before I got a positive my first pregnancy. In fact, I was sure AF was coming because it felt the same. I suspected something was off when I was cramping for days with nothing happening.

    Try searching the board for the topic you're looking for first. A lot of people ask this question. Also, a quick Google search would tell you that yes, cramping is normal but that you need to take a test to be sure.

    I had some very mild on and off cramping the day of my BFP, and a few days after that. I did not cramp before it, and I am not cramping now. These are my experiences, but since everyone is different, my experiences may not be like yours at all.
