Everything went well with my u/s, except that they said there was more amniotic fluid than there should be, which could indicate a chromosomal problem. I had the Pamorama test done that came back normal, but I need to decide by this week if I want to proceed with the amniocentesis. I am a worrier, so I really want to get a definite answer, which the amnio does, but there is a slight chance of miscarriage with the procedure. Has anyone else had increased amniotic fluid? I need advice ASAP! Thanks everyone

Tests early in my pg came back ass high risk for chromosomal abnormalities. I had the Matert-T21 done early in my pg and decline the amino. I would talk to the doctor with regards to how accurate the pamaroma test is, what they would do differently during your perinatal care if there does come back as a problem. My peri said that in my case because of my age, when in the pg I had the MT21 test done, and the soft markers that they found she was very confident the I wasn't getting a false negative on the blood test. Also, she said she wouldn't do anything different with my prenatal care then she would if the amino came back positive. She wanted me to get a fetal echo cardiogram and come in for extra monitoring anyway. For these reasons I decided that for me the risk of the amino wasn't worth it.
