Extended Forecast

Here is another realization of just how close these babies are. If you go on to the accuweather website and click on "extended forecast" you can already check the weather for your due date! 59 degrees and sunny for me!

I have to remember to check back in 5 days... It only goes until 10/11 right now. So exciting but it's also making me panic a bit (ok a lot!).

So cool! I love little things like this that make the countdown more fun.

We're looking at 61 and cloudy with a little rain.

It's also kind of funny that they think they can predict the weather that far out when this weekend's forecast will probably be wrong.

I know, right! Easiest job in the world is a meteorologist. You get paid a ridiculous amount to for being wrong.

The Farmer's Almanac predicts the whole year in advance! I'm sure these way extended forecasts are based as much on historical weather information as on educated guesses. It's still fun to see, though.

My EDD says 74 and sunny, with a chance of thunderstorms overnight. 74 seems warm for that time of year around here! I'm interested to see how accurate this is.

Agreed. I've gotten so used to saying, "oh no, plenty of time - I'll be here for a while yet," but that's not really the case anymore. My boss is going on a long vacation starting next Friday, and I might already be out when she gets back on 9/22. It's so weird.

Five more days until mine shows but it looks like upper 50's/lower 60's and that is pretty average for us.

It is suppose to be 66 and cool. I was curious about the old wives tale on full moons and going into labor. I looked it up on Farmers Almanac in my area and the next full moon is Sept. 8. We shall see I guess.
