October 2014 Moms

Good News!

Was at the dr. yesterday, He said she is head down  and its looking more towards the end of September for her arrival!

blood pressure/weight is perfect! I have my shower this weekend so after all that I will be 100% ready. I am however getting really nervous. Labor is starting to scare me. My twin sister and my mother had very easy and quick labor, I am terrified mine will be just the oppisite. I hate not knowing what to expect. FTM here lol

Re: Good News!

  • Congrats on the good news!

I'm also getting really nervous, and I'm also terrified of labor, but lots of women do it, and they survive. They also choose to go through it multiple times! So. It must be worth it, right?

  • Hooray for a head down baby!  I know it is hard not to be scared about labor and all of the unknowns, but it is super helpful to be as relaxed as possible once it does start.  It is hard to say if your labor will follow the same pattern as other women in your family- my labor with my first was similar to my mom's and much shorter than my sister's.  Just remember that you get a cute, cuddly baby at the end.

  • Congrats on your good news!!
  • Just don't let him get your hopes up. Both my pregnancies, baby was head down always. My doctor told me every week that "it'll be this week" and I eventually ended up being induced... my son had no plans of coming out.
  • I read somewhere that your labor is more likely to be similar to your sister's, but generally there was no correlation to your mother's labored.
Thinking about labor is way scarier than it actually was (atleast for me) for both my earlier deliveries. You can do it!

  • Glad she's head down and ready to go! The not knowing and anticipation is absolutely the hardest part. My last delivery was great (no complications with my first, I just didn't have any pain meds and decided I like the epidural), but I'm starting to get a little nervous about this one, too. If you can just sort of accept that there's no telling what will happen and know that there are resources available to help you through in whatever you need (natural, epidural, c-section, if needed), then it may help you relax a little. You will be great!

  • Congrats!

Try hard to go into labour as relaxed as possible...FTM here, too, so I know it's easy to say! But, honestly, it will allow your uterus to relax more and try not to tighten up your body....let it all hang loose :)

     It's a BOY! Est. Due Date - October 17th
