Braxton Hicks--so cool!

Just hit 26 weeks today and I think I had my first Braxton Hicks contractions! Lasted about 30 seconds and definitely different from baby kicking. Was really cool to realize my body really IS getting ready for labor.

Never heard anyone refer to them as cool before. Considering we all have about 3 months left I'd personally be happy to not feel any for a while now, although I know it's normal if you do.

I hate BH. They don't necessarily hurt, but they are uncomfortable and always kind of knock the wind out of me.

My poor sister had twins and she had BH every time she stood up.

I'm sure it will be super cool when I get my first, but I'll get tired of them quickly, hahaha.

I notice them here and there. They feel like tightening. They're not uncomfortable. Actual contractions, for me, feel like strong BH -- wave of tightening.

I've had them for a couple weeks now. They seem to appear more when I'm walking the dogs and when my bladder is full. I read online that those are common triggers along with sex and dehydration. I've been trying to drink more fluids to help with this. Mine or not painful, but definitely not very comfortable.

Cool is a nice way to think of them. I just find them annoying at this point (3rd baby so they started around 12 weeks)! They do get uncomfortable to painful later, so beware!

I thought they were really cool with my first pregnancy, too. Although they progressed to being diagnosed with an irritable uterus. This time around they started so early that they freak me out a little. I don't particularly find them uncomfortable but they do know the wind out of me.

Definitely not cool in my boat! They're super uncomfortable. Mine started early on this time around (teen weeks), which was about 20 weeks too soon for me.

And they're nothing compared to the real deal!!

I love your attitude! I'm not sure if I've had any (probably not yet) but I hope I find them cool. I have this weird fear of preterm labour though so I'll probably be that nut who runs to the doctor the moment I have two in a day :P

I've had two that I've noticed and neither have been uncomfortable. Just tightening for about 30-40 seconds and done. I'm sure they will become so later in pregnancy. But I thought it was neat at first since I am a FTM and it was my first time experiencing it.

I actually didn't notice BH with my first until 32ish weeks. I don't remember with my second, but I had a ton of BH-like contractions with my third starting at 30ish weeks due to having an irritable uterus caused by overdistension.

I'm sure I had them with my youngest, but my memory is fuzzy. I don't remember the frequency during the second trimester.
