Cleveland Clinic OB...

Hello all! I am looking for a recommendation for a Cleveland clinic obgyn so I can deliver at hillcrest. I am currently ttc and love love love my current OB but she only delivers at lake health. I delivered my first daughter at lake west and I received amazing care but my daughter had a heart murmur and her care was subpar. They don't have a pediatrician there at all times and her heart echo had to get sent to Akron children's. As much as I love my doctor I know I should, for my future baby, deliver at hillcrest in case another situation arrived. Thanks for any info!

    I use Char Friers, she is a midwife at the willoughby offices, deleviers at the clinic and has been great!

    Dr. Alvarez delivered my baby on his last day at Hillcrest! Dr. Iafelice is my current OB and he is awesome!

    Cleveland Clinic OB/Gyn next to Beachwood Mall is fantastic. I love Dr. Tara McElroy. Dr Golden and Dr. Minger are also great.

    I use Dr. Rao. My sister also used him and he was there for the delivery. He also was the dr that my mom used to deliver all 3 if us kids! The amazing thing about him is how he remembers every single person!! My 1st appointment wen I found out I was prego, he walked up from behind me wen I was in waiting room still and said hello and my name! He hadn't seen me since my sister delivered months earlier and prior to that I nvr used him! He just always remembers people! Great guy!

    Dr McElroy is awesome! She's thorough, and is awesome at listening. When I delivered DD #2 she didn't pressure me, let me make my own choices when it came to breaking my waters, epidural or natural etc. I thought about switching practices, because tbh, Hillcrest/cleveland clinic are billing NIGHTMARES! You keep getting amended bills, it's a mess.

    First time baby, so I am overwhelmed with what needs to be done. I have PTSD from a rape that happened when I was 18. I still have issues with even going for my women's health check ups (panic attacks and severe pain). I need to find a woman OB that is overly reassuring and caring that can be sensitive to this issue. I know it's not a common question but does anyone know of any OBs like this? I live near strongsville in a small town so I know I'll have to drive at least a half hr wherever I go. Thanks guys!

    Dr. Tammy Parker is fantastic. She's in Avon. But unfortunately she only delivers at Fairview Hospital. I love going to Avon's Women's Health in general, so it may be something to look into for you (and a plus is that they have a pediatrician's office right next door). Good luck with the search! :)

    I second Dr. Emery -- he is a great doctor with a great bedside manner out of Willoughby Hills.  In fact, during my six week postpartum visit with him in April, I was actually sad because the next time I would see him wouldn't be until next year.

    I work at Hillcrest and I have not met an OBGYN here I don't like. I go to a NP/midwife, Cynthia Cover. Love this group. I have to say, Dr. Dinkar Rao is incredible and he takes his own calls 24/7. He has had waiting lists in the past and you might wait a while to get an appointment. He delivered my brother and I. I'm pretty sure he has probably delivered close to 100,000 babies.
