Since this board likes drinking. How does your state rank?

We're #1, we're #1, I don't drink beer, but we're #1! I laughed at the description of Oregon pretty damn hard.

    Michigan is 4 and Grand Rapids Founders is a half hour from me. It has indeed amazing on site brewed beer. I went to Traverse City ans it had the most amazing stouts there. mmm...beer.

    Woot! Maine is 14! Bangor has a great brewery called Seadog that also has an amazing restaurant....now I'm tempted to suggest it for dinner >.>

    Once again, Kansas sucks at life. Dirt cake and crap beer. Although, I live down the road from Free State, so I have no complaints.

    That's a strong statement! And I have to agree. I love the selection of beer here.
    There is nothing like beer and mexican food in San Diego. It almost makes me want to visit. Then I remember that most of my family lives there and I contemplate moving to Canada.

    Did they have Olde Mecklenburg Brewery on there? Excellent German brews.
    Newp. They mentioned like one Foothills beer and glossed over a few breweries. 

    Pisgah Pale is like.. the best thing that I have ever had in my mouth. Definitely should have been on the list.

    Of course, looking at the list I notice that a lot of the smaller guys aren't mentioned. They are usually the best.

    DH helped build Fullsteam and Natty Greene's  :)

    Well, I live in Asheville so I'm a little biased towards breweries around here. Two of my favorites are in Black Mountain (Pisgah and Lookout) I like Natty Greene's but we don't really get those around here. Asheville Brewing is awesome. We have one called The Wedge (they don't bottle though) that makes several amazing beers.

    Downtown Asheville has LAB and Hi-Wire which are both excellent. 

    I could keep going...

    Next time we visit BIL/SIL maybe we should gtg....They are in asheville.  :)  I recognize Lookout and I almost think (i could be wrong...) is the wedge a restaurant too?  I feel like I remember BIL mentioning they went to dinner there...
    No. Only a brewery but they always have food trucks outside. :)

    I'm from Washington too but I was actually surprised to find the state in the top 10. Lol
    There are a lot of breweries especially in the Seattle area. Home brewing is really popular too. A lot of the local libraries actually teach a class on it.

    gwinny I love WA wine. I love wine in general though.
