  I would invite them both unless you've never had anything to do with the other, and know she wouldn't be interested in coming. Otherwise, it's like inviting someone right in front of someone else.

  I'm assuming you were friends, good friends with one and when her partner came into her life, you liked her too? It okays an invitation to both IMO.
