one year photos

For those of you who are getting professional one year old photos, when are you getting them done....before or after they turn 1? How close to their birthdays are you getting them done. I am thinking of getting DS's done but trying to figure out when.

We are doing ours before her birthday so that we can display them at her birthday party. We did a cake smash session on Sunday and I'll be taking a few more next week.

Her birthday party is September 6.

We are getting family photos and they will include individual pictures of LO, so those will be her 1 year photos. Her bday is 9/11 and we're get the photos done 10/6.

I'm doing them myself. I plan on doing them before but I need to find a smash cake outfit 1st. Probably 1-1/2 weeks before.

Her party is on the 27th and I'm doing her pictures on her actual birthday, Oct 1st. I'm stealing @starscream‌ 's idea of sending pics out with TY cards. Thanks Starscream

I'm having ours done on 9/14. Her birthday is this Sunday. I kinda wanted for her to turn 1 before taking pictures of her as one. And I'm also using those pics as my TY cards.

We are doing them a week or so after her birthday (birthday is Sept. 17). I was hoping she'd be standing on her own so I waited a little bit, but I don't think it's going to happen.

We are doing ours a week before and It will include cake smash session and birthday portraits. We are also having the same photographer come to the party to do family shots and party shots

This exactly.

DD's birthday is the 13th and I was hoping she would be standing on her own for the photos but not sure that is going to happen. Never know though, a lot can happen in the next couple weeks!!

DS party is September 6. The photographer we used for 9 month photos is out of state so I'm not sure when we will get those made but it will definitely be after his birthday

Agree with others. Whit's party is the 13th and I will be taking pictures along with my MIL but then we are doing family pictures later. I wanted the trees to be turning color and I wanted her to be standing on her own too. So Im thinking it might even be early Oct. Professional shots are hard (if you want to be outdoors) when they are still crawling cuz you get a lot of photos of the ground or you are holding them the entire time

Pictures at Target on September 1st and birthday is September 7th.

Pictures will be done at Jcpenney or Portrait Innovations after her birthday (which is 9/25), I do not currently have an appt scheduled for this though. Like many others I'd like for LO to be standing on her own but we'll see. I will however take some pictures myself and also make sure to get plenty of her at her birthday party.

Her birthday is on Sept 28th and I had them taken by a photographer on Aug 15. This was d/t her availability. It's ok though because I'd like to use the pictures for her invitations, so I'm hoping to get the disc soon!
