Pelvic Girdle Pain

So for the past 2 weeks, I've been having some pain that runs from the front inside of my pelvis to the back- near my tailbone- doesn't radiate- just makes me waddle.  Doing some research last night (after not being able to fully pick up my left leg without WOW pain) and came across "Pelvic Girdle Pain".  I'm gonna call my OB Monday, but I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this and if there was any treatment or should I just suck it up under the "Pregnancy Pain" category?  Thanks!!

Re: Pelvic Girdle Pain

  • Look up exercise for pubic symphysis, there are some exercises and you can go to a chiropractor. I'm get an appointment next week and I'm praying for relief! I can barely walk some days.

  • Excellent! I feel like an old lady!!!
  • Yep. I had this pretty bad at the end of my pregnancy with my son. This time around, I'm just about 19 1/2 weeks along and I have it already. Good times.

  • I have this too, and did with my last son and my loss last summer. The chiropractor helps me some, as does childs pose (yoga) in the moment when its really bad. Near the end of my last pregnancy sitting on an exercise ball helped some too, but then the baby would drop so low! Maybe that helped him come out in 2 contractions! :) A girl can hope anyway. Good luck. For me it went away pretty quickly after delivery.

  • I had this last time with DS...it SUCKED!!! Apparently caused by the relaxation of ligaments etc. It began around the 20 week mark for me and lasted the. Whole. Time...:s hopefully that's not the case for you! I couldn't even roll over in bed without a careful thought process as to how I was going to do it lol.
  • Oh yeah. Mine started as pain on both sides of my tailbone at about 16 weeks and at 18 weeks it felt like I got punched in the vagina! I could barely sit or walk without pain. It hasn't been bad this week, but every once in a while it hurts when I move a certain way. 20.5 more weeks of stretching ligaments should be oh so fun!
