Cloth Diapering

Applecheeks new color and question

I don't think I saw anyone post, but Applecheeks has a new LE diaper color - Jem. How long do they tend to run a color before retiring it? I really like it and want it, but I haven't ever used Applecheeks before and have three to try on Katniss higher she gets here. I want to see how those three function first before buying more.

I'm not an expert, but I would say that you have plenty of time to wait until you see if you like the fit before you buy one. Half the time I think that the LE thing is just a marketing scheme to get people to buy them quickly. Riptide was released a few months ago as an LE and it is still easy to get, and it seemed to me that there was a lot more craze over it than Jem. AppleCheeks do have good resale value though if you did buy one and ended up not liking the fit. The FB b/s/t page has a lot of traffic.

ETA: I like ACs, and they swear that they can be used on a newborn, but this was not at all the case for us. No matter how I snapped them, DD still had leaks in the legs, I couldn't get them tight enough. They didn't start fitting her well until 4-5 months I'd say. And we do much better with the bamboo inserts than with MF. Just an FYI since you haven't used them before :)

I thought that's usually why people liked me more.

Also I can't like you less.

Because I'm currently in love with you for introducing me to Owen Meany.  I'm only 1/4 of the way through, but it's consuming me.  I really wish this were a book club book because I want to talk about it with someone.
