Need some ideas! **Update 2

Today is my 16 week u/s and I might be finding out the sex of the twins. Hubby can't make it.

. He told me if I can find out today go for it. We are in the middle of buying and selling a house and we really need the OT he is getting lately. I told him I don't want to tell him through text or the phone. I need ideas how to make it a little special for him since he will be missing it. Anyone in the same situation? What did you do? TIA.

Love the envelope idea!! I didn't think of that. Thank you. I did a video of the NT scan, but it was around 20 minutes long and my arm and hand got numb from holding the phone. lol Hubby doesn't have access to video chat on the job site.

I found out the sex yesterday via phone (panorama results were in). So I ran to the store and bought the cutest polo onesie with blue stripes. My husband practically lives in polo, its his favorite brand. I wrapped up the onesie and wrote a note that said, "Our baby is healthy and he will be 'stuntin' like his daddy." I gave it to him as soon as I got home and said... HE?? He was super excited and shocked. For so me reason we were both expecting a girl.

PS. I completely stole that idea from Kelly Rowland!

I will be in the same position as you... my 16w scan is Friday & DH can't go. I'm going to have the u/s tech write it down on a piece of paper & put in an envelope also. We will either open it together or if I have time, I'll go to Macy's and have the person working in kids get me two newborn outfits on clearance and put them in a box for us to open together.

Edit: Not that it matters, but actually I'll probably pick four outfits myself and have her put the right two in the box lol. I can't have a random picking out my babies clothes

We bought cute little pink shoes X 2 and texted our family. I hope the babies cooperate! What an exciting day. I have never had my heart race as fast as it did at my appt. I'm not sure why but it made me so nervous and excited!

If it were me, I would not find out either. Have the tech write it down if she has a good guess but not tell you. Then you and your husband can still find out together. This is so much sweeter too because you get to fully emotionally experience it without some stranger ultrasound tech being there.

Hopefully they get a good look! I know 16 weeks with twins is a little early to be able to tell.

I got the Panorama results over the phone, and asked her to call me back and leave a voicemail with the sex so I could listen to it with DH.

I got my harmony results over the phone... I just called DH and told him that he had a message. When he asked me from who, I said "Your son"... that did the trick.
