Had a bad day (vent)

Left at 7:30 for a 9am hearing and still had to call in due to being stuck in stupid traffic 5 minutes from my destination. Got chastised because the phone reception was for shit but I "chose to call in". :-@
On my way back to my office, got stuck in some more traffic. (Southbound traffic at 10:00am...WTF). Got into work to explain to my supervisor why I shouldn't be handling a file when I don't have access to the appropriate forum and it's technically another division, but apparently this doesn't matter. (Which grinds my gears even more, because I already do tasks beyond my pay grade and keep getting assigned the rush and/or BS files because I get shit done). Luckily, I managed to get a PSL and cookie from Starbucks and buy the kid a sweet lamp at HomeGoods (see below). Just want this day to end.
