NT Scan Results - We're Cooking with Gas!

Went for the NT scan this morning. Baby is measuring 1 week ahead of schedule, so I'm actually 13wk2d instead of 12wk4d. Due date has been moved to 3/1/15. They measured the translucent space behind the baby's head and looked for the presence of a visible nasal bone (they found one). Baby has 2 legs and 2 arms and was squirming around in there. It also looks like its developing a good size belly since mom has been eating a lot of ice cream. Haha.

Heart beat was a solid 155 bpm and we could see it fluttering on the screen. We also got to see the brain looking down from the top of the baby's head. Technology is really an awesome thing.  :)

They drew blood to do some follow up testing but the doctor said based on the U/S everything looks good so far.

We have an anatomy scan scheduled for 9/24. Hopefully Baby will cooperate. Either way, husband and I are super excited (and relieved)!
