Is anyone else suffering with this? I spent most of yesterday in the hospital in pain and they found out both of my kidneys are swollen but especially the right one. It is extremely painful but thankfully the baby is doing well.
I'm experiencing the same thing! I had a kidney infection in July, the pain resolved after a few days of antibiotics. Then, last week the pain returned, along with more frequent trips to the bathroom. I work at a hospital & was able to be checked fairly quickly, turns out to be hydronephrosis on both kidneys this time, but no infection. It's so uncomfortable, but the pain does go away after a day or two.
Hope you feel better soon! Lots of water & warm packs did the trick for me.
P.S. yes, I'm normally a lurker & hesitate to reply to many of the thread posts, but I read almost everything & am wishing all of us November mamas well I just had to add my 2 cents to this post since I hadn't seen one like it yet!
They gave me macrobid, twice a day for a week. I'm allergic to the type of antibiotics that are safest & most effective for use during pregnancy, so you might be recommended for a different medication. Best wishes for a quick recovery!

@everydaygirl83- I'm glad you posted! I hope you post more in the future you don't need to justify posting, especially when you have something really helpful to say!
And good luck op! That sounds painful, and who wants pregnancy to be any more uncomfortable than it already is.
I also had this around 20 weeks. He was laying in transverse position which lead to smooshed ureters and then the hydronephrosis. They suspected an appendicitis at first and til had to stay a few days for observation in L&D bc of my white count elevation. I was also on macrobid. It was very painful.. I hope you feel better soon!
