@HoldingOutHope OMG you must be feeling so crazy (in a good way)! When it rains it pours!! I like that you have so many other things to focus on that you won’t be able to obsess about TTC too much. Personally medicated cycles made me relax a bit because I wasn’t in control, the doctors are! When does it all begin?
@Jenn0021 Your chart is looking mighty pretty! How are you feeling? Any plans to poas?

AFM: Boy have the last few weeks been such a roller coaster. I was responding so poorly to the IVF meds that the last few days before my egg retrieval were very touch and go. They almost cancelled my ER, I’m so glad they didn’t! They ended up collecting 9 eggs, 7 were mature and 7 fertilized! I have fluid in my uterus, which apparently isn’t uncommon, so all of my test tube babies were frozen and we’ll do a FET (frozen egg transfer) once my body is back to normal. I don’t know much about the process other than research is being done that shows that FETs can have the same success rate, if not better, than fresh cycles because your body has time to get back to normal. So right now I’m anxiously awaiting the all clear to exercise again so I can try to lose the 5-7lbs I packed on over the past 2 weeks. We have to pray that my frozen embryos make it through the thawing process and that there are 1-2 good ones to put back in!

QOTW: My DH is the best cook! If he wasn't a doctor he would have wanted to be a chef. It's too bad with his schedule he doesn't have much time to cook

My OB appointment went alright- he started off by asking me how my pregnancy was going- apparently didn't get the memo that the reason I was there was due to miscarrying, sigh. Other than that, this week I'm going for bloodwork and a sonohysterograph- things never happen this fast around here so I'm pretty surprised. Relieved it'll be done before DH is away for the month of September, but I'm anxious for the testing. Happy that things are happening though, but still testing positive on an HPT, so wanting my levels to go the heck away!

OMG I cannot believe that happened to you!! I am so sorry!!! I'm glad you are able to do some tests before your first AF. The TTCAL process is a lot of "hurry up and wait" so I'm glad to hear they are going to do blood work and the SHS in the mean time!! FX that your levels drop this week!

AFM - Sorry I missed last week. It was a crazy week. Our condo is no longer ours in 15 mins! All moved out with our stuff in storage while we wait for our move in day at our apartment on September 5. I do have a defense date set - it is September 15 at noon! EEK

QOTW - I can't pick one thing about my husband that I love the most. He is a great cook, very gentle, funny, handsome, encouraging, loving, patient... can I keep going? I love that we are able to have a lot of fun together. It's a nice break from our busy lives.

YAY for having the defense date set and your moving out of your condo! Next step to get a pooch?

AFM: AF is still not supposed to come until tomorrow or Wednesday. And based on my mood and how I've been eating I hope she comes early! My week went pretty well until we found out my aunt passed away on her birthday this Saturday. Between DH's family and mine this year we have lost 7 family member and had 2 mcs. This year needs to end for us, cause it has been very sucky.

QOTW: DH is a great cook and when I am sad he knows exactly how to get me to smile!

@kcrkcs Congratulations on the soon to be new fur baby! I hope he adjusts well for you. What a great distraction.

AFM: I have yet to talk to my doctor since last Wednesday. Shes in the OR on Fridays and Mondays so it looks like I wont be speaking with her until at least tomorrow. I did put a call in to the nurse to see if any of my tests have come back in. Still waiting on the pathology report, but my betas are down to 271! I'll cheers to that! significant drop from last weeks 2256. When I last spoke to my doctor last Wednesday she wanted to start me on hormone therapy and see where that takes me. Until I hear from her I am back on the pill. :-S I'm definitely getting my hurry up and wait on.

QOTW: Right now I have to say how supportive he has been. Not that he didn't support me before. We are not overly affectionate people. I am not a crier. I've never been a hugger. Affection and emotions are not my thing. The month of August has been a whole new world for me. I have cried more in the past four weeks then I ever have. All I want to do is be held sometimes, and when I need it most DH is always waiting for me. Now if only I could teach him to cook!!

Hello, may I join you ladies? I posted an intro yesterday. I had a mmc and a d&c at 11 weeks. Our LO had an EDD of 3/8/15 (2 days before DH's bday).

FTM, I'm glad your egg retrieval went well and that you have 7 frozen embryos. I hope that everything goes well with your FET and good luck losing the weight.

As for me, I'm doing okay. I POAS this morning at 10dpo and it was a BFN, not too shocking. I'll probably test for the next two mornings and then just give up and wait for my beta on Thursday. If this cycle is another bust, only one more to go before heading back to the RE for more testing.

Today sucks though, because I got food poisoning and spent most of the afternoon puking. Fortunately I am feeling a bit better now and have been able to keep some food down. Hopefully it's over now.

QOTW: My DH is super handy. He can fix almost anything and it is super awesome. Not to mention, he is extremely patient with all my craziness.

AFM:

You are correct, FTM. I have so much going on that I honestly don't think I'll be obsessing/going insane regarding the TTC stuff. It's beautiful that I don't have to worry about temps or any of that jazz!

AF showed up (well, she showed up for a few hours and seems to be lazy about staying...not sure what's going on) this morning, so currently the plan is for me to go in for monitoring b/w and u/s on Wednesday as well as start Clomid and Prednisone. And I have my injection class tomorrow morning. So let the excitement begin!

QOTW: I love how affectionate he is, that he loves to snuggle and hold my hand. He always makes me feel special, even on days when I feel like crap.

So exciting! Keep us posted on what happens on Wednesday!!!!

After reading about charting a year or so ago I finally got a bbt and have been temping (am terrible at this) I know it's not super accurate but I was excited to see I am no longer turning a hpt so hopefully that means AF will be coming in the not too distant future. I am about to call the OBs office and see if they have any test results back, nothing at my appointment last week. Hubs and I have been planning activities for our Hawaii trip next month. I finally realized how much my husband needs to have a new dog so this weekend I found one that needs a new family and he is coming Thursday for a trial!! (Of course we will love him and keep him) I can't say I am totally ready but nothing like jumping in with both feet. Qotw: I love so much about my hubs but maybe the number one thing right now- how supportive he is. He always is in my corner 100%. Knowing he is with me has helped me get through some tough things over the past few years. Ok sorry this was super long. I hope everyone else is doing ok. Hugs to all.

SO jealous about Hawaii and getting a new puppy! What kind of dog is it? I think temping is so great if it doesn't drive you more crazy!

Yay for such a huge drop! What kind of hormone therapy is your doctor going to start you on?

Oh no! I am so sorry about the food poisoning!!! I really hope that 10dpo was just too early for you to test!!!

I'm doing alright. I made it one whole day (yesterday) without crying, but saw an FB pregnancy announcement that got my blubbering again. Which makes me feel like a terrible person because it is such wonderful news. Oh well.

I still have good days and bad days. I do have to say for me personally as time goes on I don't cry as much but it still hurts. I stayed off of FB for a long time and now have many people blocked (my identical twin sister included). I started seeing a therapist who specializes in women's fertility and grief and that was one of the best decisions I could have ever made. Hope next week is better

thank you for asking how I'm doing. The bfn was not good for me this cycle. My loss date is drawing close and needed some good news. Probably for the best though. Meh. On to my second round of clomid and keeping my mind on the positive. Now if I can figure out how to work with two addicts without killing them both before the heroine does...

QOTW He is my rock. He doesn't worry about another loss he worries about me. He let me know that the other day when I was crying because my period started. I think I will keep him...because I don't think anyone else will put up with me lol (jk)
