Re: Pregnancy Check-in (August 25)
Wife has no symptoms yet and there's not much to report.
I am most looking forward to our son becoming a sibling and experiencing that interaction. He was a tough, tough newborn...so can't say I'm looking forward to that particular stage of life, but grateful for the chance to welcome a new baby and watch him/her grow!
I'm a bit over 12 weeks today
So far, feeling good. Very hungry as usual. I'm thinking a big bowl of spaghetti with meatballs sounds excellent for dinner. I've been eating like a warrior and still losing weight. It's insane. I think it's the product of being obese. I did some research and apparently your metabolism raises from 15-20% so for me that means an extra 450-550 calories per day. That's a couple Hershey bars on top of my normal diet. Or a couple big bowls of Raisin Bran. You get the idea.
GTKY: I'm looking forward to watching our baby grow the first year. They start out so small and grow rapidly. It will be amazing to witness that day by day, taking pictures, watching how much they change
I am 13w2d feeling better have been getting my energy back and stomach isn't bothering me too much unless I eat to much at one time then I feel like poop. Today someone asked me if I was pregnant. Such a rude question!. Of course I didn't directly answer them I just asked what would make them think I was apparently I have developed a bit of a bump/blump. NT scan is on Wednesday which I am anxious to hear everything is okay so far. I have some questions for the MFM so hopefully I remember to ask them.
I am most looking forward to watching them develop and change and when they become a little more mobile and start to really play.

I am currently off from work for a week, which of course my body decided was a great time to get a stomache bug. I have been sick all day! Boo!
Other than that, little Squints is squirmy and I am startin to know where the feet and head are based on where I am feel movements.
We met with our doula last week to start hypnobirthing classes and that was a bit nerve wracking. When it comes down to it, I really can't imagine myself actually giving birth. This may be a problem... Must work on it!
QOTD: I am looking forward to smiles and laughs! Watching my wife bond with the baby is also going to be amazing... And watching my parents meet their new grandbaby. Squints will be their first grandbaby and I think they are going to be so excited!

QOTW: What are you most looking forward to in the first year of your little one's life?
Feeling...alright. It's getting tricky. Days are moving slowly now. On bedrest and that sounds so much more luxurious than it is. Circulation isn't doing it's job so well lately. But nursery is about done, right off our room though the babies will room with us. We are getting so excited to meet them and learn who they are, what they look like, what they enjoy and watch them interact with their big brothers. So close now. Our OB thinks we won't make it past September so if she's right, 4-5 weeks max. Whoa.
The first year- it will be amazing to just watch them grow and learn about the world and teach us all about them.
Qotw: looking forward to first smiles, first giggles, solid foods, crawlin first words, walking, interaction with family and pets!
I think it's been a couple weeks since I last did a check-in...
I'm 17+1 today and still have a hard time believing that I'm actually carrying a baby in there. I think when I feel him/her move, it will become more real, for sure.
We have our anatomy scan on 9/15, but we won't find out until 9/27. We're having the tech write it down and seal it in an envelope that we plan to give to a friend. We are arranging a dinner at a restaurant with the people closest to us and we'll have cake and some cheesy pink/blue buttons or something that people can choose in order to cast their vote. Our friend will arrange for a cake from our favorite bakery, and also purchase an outfit reflective of whatever the envelope says and wrap it up. We'll open it up at dinner and find out along with everyone else what we're having.
I was diagnosed with GD a few weeks ago, as my doctor had me do an early GTT due to my weight. The diagnosis sucks, and trying to get a handle on the numbers and testing and what to eat sucks even more, but, I'm willing to do whatever it takes for a healthy baby.
QOTW - I think I'm most looking forward to joining our other friends who have babies/young children for playdates and such. And also towards baby's first WDW trip, which will happen in September of next year (along with a Disney cruise).
IUI #1 - November 2013 - BFN
ICI #1 (home) - May 2014 - BFP!! Beta #1 - 5/30 - 164; Beta #2 - 6/6 - 4794!!!
