Recommendations for bad cold/cough

Of course I would catch something after a year of being sick! Anyone have any recommendations as to what I could take to ease the pain? Thanks!

    My midwife had me talking robitussin. She said if it didn't get better after a few days then to see a pcp.

    I'm going through this as we speak. I talked to my OB this morning and he said to gargle warm salt water to ease the soreness in my throat and to take Robitussen DM. If I don't feel better in a few days, he wants me to call back.
