Fetal echo

On Thursday I will be going to Kingston which is about an hour and a half away from my home to do a fetal echo on our baby heart!
Has any other moms ever gone to one of these?

Yes I had mine on the 11th, it's very quick. They looked at every individual chamber and the aortas. They also did a color study to check the flow.

Getting mine done on Wednesday (8/27) along with a second AS because this little lady did not cooperate the first time. I thought it would take long because my own echo took quite a while. Glad to know it's quick.

I had mine done on Thursday last week due to type II diabetes. It took a little while because baby was transverse and she had to have me roll over on my sides to finally get all her viewpoints checked off, but his heart looked great with no issues. I also had a growth scan component as well, and baby is growing right on schedule.

I was in the scan a little over an hour, but then again, I got a bonus transvaginal u/s because the tech thought she saw a cyst by my right ovary. They couldn't find it again 20 min later via abdominal or via the trans vag, so they're thinking now it was just a piece of bowel. Great. Looking at my poop magnified on screen was a lovely way to spend a Thursday afternoon.

had mine today and it took about 30-40mins total. try to make sure your baby is asleep or don't eat a lot of sugar before you go cause the tech told me the more they move, the harder it is for them to get the pics they need

I had one a couple of weeks ago. It took about 30 minutes. They checked the chambers, size, & blood flow.

I went and had my last u/s and it took about 45 minutes maybe more and the ultra sound tech had made me roll all around to get the baby to move or different views. My doctor then called about a week later saying they saw something on baby heart so they would be sending me for a fetal echo.

I had mine last week. They checked all chambers of the heart, plus the aorta and some other vessels. Mine took about an hour and a half and we got some great pics.

I had one on August 5. It took about an hour. Maternal fetal medicine told me it could take anywhere from 45 mins up to two hours. My little guy was not cooperating and they could only get some of the views they needed. So I have to go back again next week. Just saying it might not be quick.

Had my 2nd A/S and fetal echo today. In total, I was there for about an hour and a half. DD just didn't want to cooperate so it took them a while to get good images of the spine and heart. Luckily, there were no concerns and everything looks just right. @tolivercrosmas‌, hope your's goes well!

Just wanted to update. I had mine yesterday. It took about 1.5 hours (which was hell on my back). They couldn't quite get one shot that they needed so I have to go back in 3 weeks for a supposedly "short" follow up. They told me that they weren't worried but they just needed to visualize this one thing. Of course I'm a little nervous now.

I had one with my first and most likely will have one with this baby due to family history. I found it very fascinating last time - the cardiologist did it himself and gave me a full tour of the heart and how it works...
