I just wanted to wish all of my educators and students well wishes for this school year. Tomorrow is my first day of class and I'm just working on my syllabi (such a procrastinator). But it's cool I'm always too anxious to sleep the night before the first day anyway. My mom was a 5th grade teacher and she always told me if she was ever able to get a good nights sleep before the first day of school then it was time to retire. I hope everyone has a great school year!

Thanks! We started last Monday and it was a crazy week!
They had to tear up the floors in my classroom and I wasn't able to set anything up until 4 days before students came back. Nothing liked a little forced procrastination to panic this control freak!
Good luck with your first day. Hope you have a great year!!

@gsancho I just started my 6th year teaching kindergarten. The first couple of weeks are always a rough transition....maybe for the parents more than the little people. This year I have a really independent bunch. No tears!
I've always loved working with the younger kiddos. They're sweet, amazing, hilarious little sponges! BUT...there are hectic days where I'd give my right arm if my school would bring back nap time!! I-)

@AnnaClaire256 Oh I was a crier! I think I spent most of Pre-K in a special room where they'd let me cry and sleep. But then again, I lived in Puerto Rico where sometimes I think I was a bit young to suddenly be by myself all day - I was put in school at 3. That's the excuse I claim, at least!
Me 33, DH 37 -- TTC since Jan'12 -- Low AMH (0.78) & endo, SA w/ low motility IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN IVF 1.2: 8R 6M 4F -- 2 blastocysts frozen, FET 8/15 = BFP!! Beta #s = 445;1,098; 9,545 -- EDD 5/2 -- Team Pink!
I will not take any credit for having patience....I take my hat off to elementary and secondary school teachers. I actually teach Psychology at the college level. Half of my job is teaching and the other half involves researching.

Hard to believe this is going to be year 7 teaching, and we've been TTC #1 since winter break of my first year!
Probably I became a teacher mostly because I never wanted to give up that amazing back-to-school feeling. Too bad it comes along with the Columbus-day-to-Thanksgiving and MLKJ day-to-spring-break stretches.
