December 2014 Moms

Pain...

It's my second baby, due December 16, 2014... I'm having really bad pain in my 'bone'... like... Down there... The actual pubic bone feels achy??

Re: Pain...

  • What did your OB/Doc/MW say about it?

  • My sister had this with both her pregnancies! Worse with the second. I forget what it was though.
  • I haven't seen you around before so welcome and congrats. Best advice is to ask your OB; internet strangers won't know better than them.

Pretty much this. That being said, my pubic bone is tender. It spreads apart in pregnancy so it's really no surprise.

  • I had this. And still do. My OB said its probably the baby putting pressure. Because she has alot of room to move around in there. I can actually feel her move in my pelvic area sometimes. But yours could be different. I would ask just to be safe
  • Definitely will ask her, I see her Wednesday, but just wanted to see if anyone could relate?! Thanks!
  • I get the same sensation on my pubic bone and hip bones. I brought it up with my OB during my last visit and was told this is normal for second pregnancies because the body basically remembers having pressure there for your last child. It's just round ligament pains and your body adjusting to the pregnancy. I would call your Doctor though. If it hurts enough for you to ask the board for help then the first thing you should do is make that phone call. Let me know what they say though.
  • Totally normal. Your pubic bone should feel like the shell of a pistachio nut. It gets worse as the baby gets bigger. :( Sorry you are hurting. Pregnancy sucks but babies are wonderful!
