Has anyone miscarried after OBYN was able to see baby and a strong heartbeat??

    I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm sorry you are having such a stressful time right now. I think some spotting can be normal in a healthy pregnancy. I know it's hard, but try not to stress so much about it! I hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy!

    I am sorry for your loss. I bled non stop for a number of weeks quoth my second and he is a he thy almost 3 year old. Things happen. I bled so much that by the time my 9 weeks appointment rolled around I was convinced that I was not pregnant anymore.
    I would say, be patient and hope for the best. Maybe ask for bloodwork and see how your progesterone levels are.

    I'm so sorry your going through this. Try to not worry, I know that's really hard. Live in the fact you saw a strong heartbeat, and your baby is doing well.
    I spotted on and off in my first pregnancy throughout my first trimester. She is 14 now and is perfectly fine. Hugs...

    I have m/ced after a heartbeat, too, although I'm not sure I'd describe it as "strong." If you're continuously bleeding, will your ObGyn let you come in for an u/s to check on things? Hope all is well with you. (((hugs)))

    There is always a risk, but I believe the stats are in the 20% early pregnancy and drop to less than 2% after hearing a heartbeat.

    Try going to a Chinese Dr. They have herbs to stop the bleeding. Much more effective than western medicine. My mom lost 2 babies before me and ever since she start taking the Chinese medicine, there were no more issues. I see a Chinese Dr. And she has prescribe something for me to "stabilize" the early stages of pregnancy and help with morning sickness. She wants me to keep taking it till 12 weeks. I am a firm believer of Chinese medicine!

    @mrnrs01 So sorry - such a scary thing.  

    Unfortunately I lost one in May at 8.5 weeks and after seeing a strong heartbeat...  BUT one thing I know for certain is that EVERY pregnancy is different! I know many girlfirneds that bled throughout their entire pregnancies and have happy healthy babies!

    Try to stay positive and hopefully the doc will give you some peace of mind today.

    I'm sorry you're going through this. I'll be honest that yes I have. I had seen my last pregnancy 3 times on ultrasound with very strong heartbeats and measuring perfect. For whatever reason, I ended up losing them at 13 weeks. 

    But your chances of miscarriage go down after seeing the heartbeat so there is good news. I've also had bleeding and spotting with my DD until 16 weeks and she's perfectly healthy. Good luck at your appointment today and hopefully you will get some piece of mind.

    I've been going through the same thing. Last week I started bleeding dark brown blood. Waited a few days and called the doctor. He had me go have my hcg tested and then I went in for an ultrasound. He told me that at 6 weeks my hcg was suppose to be around 24,000 and it was at 5,000. No Baby was seen in the sac and he asked me if my dates were correct. After a couple hcg tests my levels are going up but I'm still bleeding. No pain or cramps. I swore last week I had a miscarriage. I lost all hope and just had a miserable week! I go in next week for another ultrasound hoping I see a heartbeat. I've talked to people who have bled all first trimester and some most of their pregnancy. So I understand where you are coming from. I never bled my last pregnancy!

    I had a miscarriage in April at 13 weeks. I bled for 15 days straight. A couple of ultrasounds and listening to baby's heartbeat with the Doppler seemed to reveal that all was okay. Just stay positive!! Good luck with your appointment!

    I'm sorry you are going through this. I hope you get good results at the doctor.
    I'll be honest I had a m/c at 16weeks. After two u/s but never had bleeding. But it was a molar pregnancy which is extremely rare.
    Like pp said stay positive! My last pregnancy i spotted throughout the first tri for different reasons and still had a healthy baby!

    Yes, I miscarried my last baby at 7wks. The day before I had an appt at 6w6d and saw a strong heartbeat.

    We saw a HB but baby was measuring 2 weeks behind. OB felt assured and just said my dates must be off, but I was worried. I started spotting and contained for 10 days until I miscarried at 10 weeks.
