I'm probably going to start mine in October since my mother is throwing me a shower in November due to family being in from out of town! I'll know the sex next month!
Same as @HailsMom; I started one last weekend because I was reading Lucie's List and figuring out what would work best for us. I may share it, but it's a shopping list to me.
Awaiting our bundle of cute chaos.
F15 January Siggy Challenge: What You're Looking Forward to Most after Baby Arrives
I still need to see exactly what we are getting from family from previous kids, so haven't been able to make a list yet. We should be able to start in a couple weeks after the his family finds out!
We went last week and did it all. I'm a very neutral person so its all yellow and greens. Black stroller and carseats. I'll prob add some stuff after our A/S clothing wise. I just wanted to get it done and outta the way.
I didnt realize how excited a lot of people would be about my announcement. My best friend suggested starting a generic registry prior to announcing because people will ask, "what do you need" and "are you registered" when you tell them you are expecting.
I started a registry at abour 12-13 wks, mainly to note the items I had been seeing and liked. I added to it right around the time I announced.
Im still adding to it. Having a girl or boy doesnt change what I will put on my registry, because I am planning to do neutrals anyway.

I don't know that my answer really counts. I started a registry around 12 weeks just as a way to get organized. It is on Amazon and is hidden so you can't search for it. We are just taking our time editing it and then will make it public once it gets closer to shower time in Nov/Dec.
We plan to buy everything we don't get in January when we get a 20% discount through Amazon's mom's program. I am still hoping people will look and go off the registry because we chose specific items that we will really use and pretty much anything not on there we considered and don't want or already have. We will be grateful for all gifts, but there are certain materials/toys/etc. that I won't use with my child. We aren't finding out the sex so that makes it less likely we will get tons of clothes and it made it easy to start a registry early.
We have started to look at the big stuff (car seat, stroller, etc...) but no formal registry yet. Prob over the next few weeks we'll create something. We plan on getting big stuff in neutral colors so it can be used again and will add other stuff after we find out the sex.
I specifically told my mother that the registry was just a running list right now and not to buy anything. I'm sure You all know where this is going. She has bought all sorts of things already but I will have to return.

Twins? You mean two babies? WOW!
Team PURPLE!!
We are excited to meet William Alexander and Harper Abigail in 2015!
I have a private registry on Amazon that I started about a month ago so I could start organizing. We will create one at BBB, BRU, and Target in a month or so, just so we can get the completion discounts.

After I find out the gender I think I'm hitting the registry. it's going to be fun!!! My family is so freaking big I will be blessed with all my needs. My friends are doing a separet shower just because I know too many people. I truly will have so much I know it and this is baby #1 and we waited 14 years together for our baby!! It's super exciting and everyone can't wait to start buying things. Some already have! Too cute!
I've sort of vaguely started thinking about it....done some research here and there to see how much is different now. There are SO many more choices than when I had DD! It feels weird doing a registry since I'm a STM, but honestly DD will be 10 when her sister arrives and I didn't save anything.
Is it too much to register at three stores? Will people think that's annoying?
that's a good question. I have the same concern. Mostly because I have family from all over the country and the stores vary from where they are.
We are registering at 3: BBB, BRU and pottery barn baby. I think people have their own preference where they like to shop- usually whatever is closest for them so I like to give people options- that way you may be able to get more things off your registry than if you just have one place and no one wants to drive to that location
I started looking and creating a list earlier this week, but I'm not making it public until I do some additional research on products and find out if we're having a boy or girl.
