Look! A name poll!

It's probably been awhile since we had a name poll on this board! :) We plan to go into delivery with 3 options, and I think we've narrowed it down ourselves, but I thought I'd solicit some feedback. Edward & Walter are family names and DH has a very Irish last name.

    This poll makes me happy.. I think I like Ethan Walter and Nathaniel Edward the most (pretty much all great name choices though). If your last name is short, I like Nathaniel Edward. But if it's long, I'd go with Ethan Walter.

    I voted Owen! I love that name, and I think it would fit well with a very Irish last name :)

    I voted Owen Walter. I like it the best. I agree with PPs that they're all great names.

    LOL I hope everyone gets a kick out of the "name poo"!

    Thanks for all the feedback!  Currently our order is (I think):

    Shane (the least popular name in the poll!)
    Logan
    Nathaniel (though DH feels bad because it's such a long first name; I think he's sympathetic because he has an incredibly long first name, despite a short nickname)

    I think Shane is in the lead partially because DH doesn't want to select a popular name, although his two suggestions were Owen & Aiden! I love Ethan, but it's quite popular in NY & CT.

    Ethan! However, all of your choices are strong sounding and classic. My Irish red is Ryan.

    I voted Nathaniel Edward, but I like Shane Edward and Dylan Walter as well.  All of these names are great contenders so you can't go wrong whichever you choose.

    I picked Nathaniel because it just *seems* like your son's name, although I have no idea why! I wouldn't let the long name deter you, especially with a nice, short nn.
    It's funny you say that because when we used to discuss hypothetically having children, the boy name was always Nathaniel! :)

    I chose Nathan Walter.

    I don't care for the name Shane because of someone I know named Shane. But being a teacher names are kind of ruined from time to time so there's that. (Shane is actually a grown up I know and don't care for).

    I love classic names.
    I couldn't do Edward though (even though family name) because of the twilight crap Edward and all those names because über popular a couple years ago.

    OK, has this been discussed? But there is some movie where a really annoying/scary woman scream Owen all the time...I can't remember what it is, but I also can't hear the name Owen without thinking about it.
