Any good Pregnancy Brain stories from the past week?

So tonight I decided to stick a wooded spoon in the food processor while it was running....Now I need a new wooden spoon, and have wood splinters in my puree  :-<  My husband told me to stay away from the blender hence I stick my hand in while that's running.  I'm scared to start my class tomorrow night  - A&P II as a pre-req for a nursing program.  I passed A&P I with flying colors - with the way this baby is sucking out my life-force these days i fear i'm not going to do as well this time around!

Anyone else in the same boat?  Or is my baby the only one making me st00pid? 8-}

  • We left Friday for a weekend trip and got back today. The one thing I forgot was my Zofran. Luckily I was able to get some unisom and b6 and that held me over. Never again.

  • My MIL watched DS at our house today and said she found the eggs and the cup of juice I had poured for him this morning in the microwave and the dog leashes in the fridge. Also this morning I put salt in my coffee instead of sugar. In my defense, the containers at my work are identical for the two but still, that was awful.

  • I accidentally stuck almost $12,000 worth of Humira in the freezer instead of the fridge. 3 months worth, and I take it weekly.

I have to call Monday and see if they will replace it for me.
  • The other day I almost peed in my panties because I forgot to pull them down before I sat on the toilet. Glad I caught that before I let my bladder go!

I lost my dog in my own house.

DS2 and I were the only ones home, DS1 was with his dad and DH was 3 states away. We searched this house high and low, drove the neighborhood, called the animal shelter, the dispatch center for the police, and finally had my SIL and BIL come look for her since I had to take DS2 to football practice. I was worried sick!!! She was JUST laying with me on the couch!

BIL finally text me half way through practice saying they found her in the house...WTF?! She was locked in a room that has been closed up for at least 2 weeks! How the hell did she get in there?? We called for her, offered treats, everything! With no barks or whines!

I will never live down losing my dog in my own house....sigh.

Glad she was OK!  Mine constantly gets herself locked in the pantry, but its happened enough that now its one of the first places we look!

LOL @arynras!  @JunkieBrewster - I hope they can replace it for you - that really sucks! @leosmom25 - I've put quite a few random things in the fridge also, you aren't alone there!
  • I teach online and our exams are password protected, so I have to give the students a password when they are ready to take they exams. Well, this week I have been messing up the damn passwords all week. I have been also give students wrong instructions all week and have had to backtrack on things. Ugh!

DH also made me stop talking at one point because I was not making sense.

  • MH and I went to our friends' house to meet their adorable 4 week old baby girl. We were in the car about to leave when we saw our friend running out to our car... with my purse. I wonder how long it would have taken me to realize it was missing and then figure out where it was, if he didn't find it.

  • I got a brand new lipstick from Urban Decay (so not cheap) and I was trying it on... DD loves to run up and beg for me to put some on her. I normally make sure it's low so she doesn't actually put any on and let her do it then let her think she wears some. Well my dumb ass handed it to her and walked away!! Like totally had a brain lapse (squirrel!!) And just took off to do something else. I remembered hours later and had to tear up the living room praying it wasn't gone forever. Luckily I found it.

I also locked her and my keys, phone, and purse in the car while it was in the driveway last week. Thank god my sliding door was open and I was able to run inside and get the spare. That sucked!

Aw! I HATE when that happens! We have a shelties who will bark at everything, but not when they are "lost" in the house. One  time at my mom's, she couldn't find one of her dogs. She was convinced the dog had gotten out and was eaten by a coyote. They were searching and calling for her. Then my dad checked and she was all the way in the back on an airline crate, the door was slightly open, just hanging out, either too afraid to leave since my mom was probably near hysterical, or thought she couldn't push door open. Happens too often!

My pregnancy brain...today is my day off and my H took my car. I woke up realizing I left my pocketbook hidden under a seat. And my script for the glucose test I was planning to do this AM. I guess I won't be doing that, food shopping or other errands today!

  • I went to the doctor and they asked for a urine sample, like always. I went into the bathroom, stared at the basket full of cups while I was going to the bathroom, stood up & washed my hands before I realized I completely forgot to actually pee in a cup. I walked out and apologized to the nurse and had no decent explanation other than I forgot to pee in the cup. She laughed and said I wasn't the first pregnant lady to do that.

  • Last week at book club I thought I was making a certain point, but said the exact opposite of what I meant to say. It took me a few minutes, and then I said "wait... no... what I meant to say was..." My friend next to me, who knew what I generally believe on the subject, said "yeah I was really confused when you said that." It was weird.
