I'm baffled and just seeing if anyone has experienced this.
Last night I was washing 18 mo DDs hair, at the start if her hair on her forehead/scalp I felt something hard and sharp. I thought it was a splinter or something. I plucked it with a tweezer and a little bit if blood came out (she didn't seem bothered by any of it) but it was so weird looking. It was maybe half an inch or less long, and had the consistency of a fingernail. Similar color as a fingernail too.
I dropped it down the sink so I have nothing to show the dermatologist (we have an appt because DD had a bad rash that she's being treated for with anti fungal for yeast and steroid cream)
I have a bad history with dr google and freakingr myself out to the point of anxiety attack but when I look it up online I can't find much besides morgellons disease which sounds absolutely insane and horrible.
Sooo... Anyone experience anything like this??

Maybe it was a fingernail. Seriously, DD's nail trimmings are like little projectiles. I've found them stuck in my own body like shrapnel a few times. If she has long hair it would be possible for one to fly up to her forehead and embed unnoticed. If not that, then I hope it's nothing to worry about.
