So everything I read says oatmeal is great for helping with breast milk supply. I've never in my life ate oatmeal. Anyone have suggestions on how to prepare it or how you like it? I know I can google but I thought it'd be better to try it in ways others have that know it's good. Thanks!

I eat it everyday with a proportion of about one cup of frozen blueberries and 1/2 cup dry instant oats that I then put water in to my taste, which is more on the gooey side than the thick side. I microwave for 3 minutes, then add cinnamon and maybe a bit of stevia.
I also love the oatmeal at starbucks and mcdonalds, which you can get any time of day.
Do I think that it helps with my milk production? yes, I do... but then again, I only notice that when I eat it for more than just breakfast, since I truly eat it everyday.
My mom eats it with greek yogurt and fresh fruit and almond milk.... to each their own with oatmeal. Good luck!
I don't like real oatmeal with water, though the sugary packets are OK. I'll use cow or almond milk. Mix in berries, nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar, raisins/craisins/any driede fruit, peanut butter, Nutella!!, pumpkin puree (100% pumpkin from the can)...
I try to keep a variety, because oatmeal gets boring to me, but it is a good meal and filling. I'll often add milled flaxseed too. You can also Google recipes for lactation cookies!
