Breast feeding and pregnant

Any moms have tips for a decreased milk supply? My son is 10 months and I am 4 weeks pregnant and my milk is decreasing fast! My DR said to stop taking fenugreek and drinking my mothers milk tea and I think that's what kept my production up.

  • Thanks girls!! I will call an LC Monday :) oatmeal shall be my breakfast and lactation cookies are made and ready to eat!!
  • You may need to increase your fluids and calories even more so than someone who isn't breastfeeding. Let him nurse on demand and try not to supplement if possible. Unfortunately this is common. Some kids wean earlier than they would have normally and some just stick it out. I wish my 2 year old would get the memo it's time to wean! Lol
  • Also- how do you know your supply is decreasing? Low supply is possible but it's not as common as you'd think. Your supply can often temporarily dip before your period, and since you're still so early it may be something similar to that. Just keep nursing!
  • I work full time so I pump a lot and nurse at home. So I can see the decrease when I pump. It's bad :(
  • You can try power pumping to mimic cluster feeding. Pump 10 min on, 10 off, for 60 minutes. Could help.

    Is this safe during pregnancy?
