Crib mattresses?

Hi ladies!

Our current crib mattress has been through the wringer between two kids, who graduated from sleeping on it to jumping on it. Oops. Neither of them particularly liked sleeping on it anyways, preferring to finagle their way over onto our bed (we have the crib sidecarred), so if there is any difference between crib mattresses I'd like to get one that's more comfortable.

Does anyone have any recs/experiences/suggestions? Not sure it makes any different, but. I am just about willing to sell my soul to help this baby sleep as well as humanly possible, lol, so if there are any straws... I will be grasping for them.

    We ordered the #1 rated on amazon, called heavenly dreams! Seems very good. No need to air out either.

    Zengal is right, the firmer & more coils the better. We got a Sealy for DS and a more updated Sealy for this baby as well.

    I wanted a foam one.. After reading the baby bargains book I settled on the Lullaby Earth (link below) it was the middle of the road on price.

    We got a Sealy that had one former side for infants and the other for toddlers that is a little more soft. We got it at BRU.

    We purchased the Lullaby Earth one. It's pretty firm and the fact that it's so light is a bonus.

    DS has this one - foam and dual sided. He seems super comfortable. It was expensive but worth it.

    I know babies are supposed to have firm mattresses to help prevent SIDS
