Hi ladies- DH and I just noticed that CVS gave us both 1'' and 1 1/2'' needles for my PIO injections. I'm pretty sure this was a mistake...but either way, the standard and what I've used in the past is the 1 1/2''. We are now out of the longer ones and I just want to make sure that it's getting deep enough with the shorter ones. I found one site about IM injections that said 1'' is fine, but most IVF sites refer to the longer ones.
Do any of you happen to be using the shorter, 1'' needles for your injections?
Re: PIO injections needle question
When giving IMs, I use 1.5" unless the patient is smaller.
