How common is Carson...

That you've noticed personally.

I never really see Carson on name lists nor is it talked about as a particularly common name. With that being said, I know several Carsons. Their ages range from nb to 23. Also notable, most of the Carsons I know are girls. Considering the "-son" Carson sounds all boy to me but out of the 5 I know, 3 are girls.

So how common is Carson to you personally?

I only "know" one, a DJ on a local radio station. I can't wrap my head around this being a girls name. I don't know that I love it, but I don't hate it.

I know of one boy Carson and a girl Karsyn. The name is all boy to me though.

My niece is Carson. She is 5.

Carson is actually quite popular around here. Carson Palmer used to be the quarterback for the Bengals and he was a big deal for a couple seasons so a lot of parents went that direction.

My parents just rescued a male lab and named him Carson. (Downton Abby fans). He is not as helpful as the butler......but is cuter.

I know up to 6 GUYS named Carson across north America including one Carston sp?. From age 5 to 30 and definitely all boy except that I think I one time saw it on a list of "sissy"names for boys.
