Hey ladies! I am a FTM and going to be SAHM as soon as my leave is up. My baby girl is 4 weeks old. I'm curious what things you ladies have done to stay in touch with "adults" and not so isolated. I'm content being home with my baby girl. And I know when we get more into a schedule getting out for more will be easier. So what has been helpful to you all. And what not so much? Anything you do that you recommend?! Any advise for a new SAHM?
Re: New SAHM!
No they do not know. But I'm covered by my husbands benefits.

That's good. I've heard of people being required to pay back medical expenses, disability, etc. I would hate to see that happen to someone else who didn't expect it.
I would get out now. At this age, they are so much easier to take out than once they get older.
I am fortunate that I have a lot of other SAHM friends that we have playdates with. I met all of the through our church. During the year, we have a weekly bible study that has childcare and fellowship. That's pretty much my adult interaction.
GL and congrats!
Check out your local library as well, ours does a special Babytime Storytime once a week for ages newborn through 18 months. It's mostly singing and nursery rhymes and a story or two but it's a great place to meet other new moms and less chaotic than regular storytime.
